White Tesla Seats look amazing, however, many people are hesitant to get the white seats because they’re afraid it’ll get dirty easily. My Tesla has 50,000 miles on it, and I have 3 dogs (2 golden retrievers), and my seats are still white.
Today, I’m going to show you how I keep my Tesla seats white, despite all the dirt, grease, and spills that get on them!

Step 1: Clean Your Seats
Before coating your seats, first clean your seats to remove any current stains.
- Use a leather cleaner (Car Guys Super Cleaner) with a microfiber towel to get the stains out
- Use a leather cleaning brush to get out stubborn stains out
Step 2: Apply Protective Coating on Seats
- Using the applicator, apply a few drops onto microfiber cloth (provided with Gyeon Quartz Leathershield). The cloth should be damp.
- Apply coating in parallel fashion
- The seats should be wet right after you apply the Gyeon Quartz Leathershield. It will dry on its own.
- Apply an even layer across all the seats first, then apply a second layer to the stain prone areas (ex crevices and bolster).
Step 3: Apply to Door Sill and Door Handles
If microfiber cloth dries up, use a new microfiber cloth. If it’s still wet, you can use the same one
Step 4: Apply to Steering wheel and Center console
Step 5: Let it dry for ~20 minutes
Step 6: Apply 2nd layer (you should have extra)
Step 7: Let it dry
- Let it sit for at least an hour.
- Try not to disturb the seats for at least 12 hours.
Step 8: Repeat again in ~1 year.
Tip: On a regular basis, try to remove stains or marks as soon as you see them. Baby wipes are helpful for this and I keep them in my car at all times.
Testing my White Seats After Coating Them
I did a stain test after coating seats with this method. I put food coloring, dirt, ketchup, tire grease, and coffee on my seats and left it on for 10 minutes.
Afterwards, I was easily able to wipe off everything, except the tire grease. For the tire grease, I use more effort and the Car Guys cleaner to remove the tire grease stain entirely.
