WHAT TO BRING
If you decide to take delivery at the Tesla service center, instead of home delivery, be sure to bring these items:
- Payment (cashier’s check, ACH/routing, wire transfer)
- Proof of insurance
- Drivers license
- This checklist
- Trade in vehicle with keys (if applicable)
- Tesla phone app (downloaded and logged in)

- Make sure your VIN number matches that on your paperwork

White = Ready to charge
Blue solid = Scheduled to charge
Blue blinking = Preparing to charge (takes a few seconds, be patient)
Green blinking = Charging ongoing
Green solid = Charge complete
Orange = Not plugged in correctly, re-align
Red = Error
RAINBOW = Easter egg, pressing the button 10x
- Test Various Connectors
- J1772 (most common non-Tesla charger)
- NEMA 14-50
- CCS adapter (for faster charging at places like Electrify America, EV Go)
- Tesla Supercharger
- Tesla home charger
POST-INSPECTION
- Verify that your car was marked as “delivered” in Tesla’s network
- Keep copies of all documentation (ex Motor vehicle purchase agreement, DMV forms)
- Submit a service request via Tesla phone app for fix/finish issues (check with your service advisor when this must be done by)
